May 2004 EUROSION project IGN France International ----------------------------------------------- IMPORTANT : TO BE READ CAREFULLY ----------------------------------------------- CEEUBG100kv2_1 Geology, Geomorphology and Erosion Trend Version 2.1 ----------------------------------------------- The last and official version of Geology, Geomorphology and Erosion Trends layer is 2.1 Effectively, following last quality drafting and controls from IGN France International on the version 2.0 delivered to Eurostat (on March the 23th, 2004), IGN FI investigated on the way the ETC/TE adjusted the Shoreline on SABE97 v2.1 at the beginning of the project. To cope with the fact that this adjustment had not been performed with more than 50 points for the whole European database, IGN FI decided to realized a posteriori a REadjustment to fit with SABE 2001 geometry, keeping the attributes of Geology, Geomorphology and Erosion Trends gathered and documented all along the project. This new version thus lead to - CEEUBG100kV2_1 : Geology, Geomorphology and Erosion Trend Version 2.1 layer - CLEUER100kV2_1 : Shoreline version 2.1 layer IMPORTANT: ---------- While reading the "EUROSION Database Manual" report, one should understand/read/replace version "V2_1" instead of "V2" for those two layers (except for French Guiana and Guadeloupe - see below). Please note that the process for using and installing those layers nevertheless remains the same. NOTE: ----- Previous version "V2" files are delivered zipped besides the Version 2.1. ----------------------------------------------- Overseas Territories covered in separate shapefiles (version 2 not subject to any readjustment): - French Guiana : cegfbg100kv2 - Guadeloupe Island : cegpbg100kv2 Versions' History --------------- - Version 1.0 CEEUBG100kV2 is a polyline in ESRI shape format that provide information (attributes) about the geomorphology, erosion trend and presence or not of defence work on segments of European coastline. (FI, FX, IE, IR, UK, BE, DE, DK, ES, PT, IT, GR) This first version was realized by BRGM (France) and published as CORINE Coastal Erosion (1990) - Version 2.0 This version has been made by BRGM as part as EUROSION project. Are also reported informations about the geology for each of coastline segments. The database has been extended to the following countries: SI, PL, BG, RO, CY, MT, EE, LT, LV, (+FG, +GP) - Version 2.1 This version has been geometrically modified using ESRI's ArcMap spatial adjustment on SABE 2001 v1.0 coastline. Spatial adjustment method used was "rubbersheet". -----------------------------------------------
